Words of Wisdom from My Spatula

Your walls were nasty yellow

And so we painted them pink.

And we lived and laughed and cried and ate

There between your fours walls.

We made memories and sang silly songs.

Friends came and chatted

At times up to ten.

And I would do it over again if I could.

For college goes by quickly

More quickly than you know.

We’re about to move to Priv

And leave these hallowed halls.

So for whoever takes our place

Treat our beloved 312 with kindness and grace,

But most of all—love

For she needs it.

Her newly painted gray walls and slanted floors and loose electrical outlets

May cause frustration at first.

But know that over time

If you are patient and nice to her,

She will provide for you precious memories.

She does not have a kitchen or a good sized sink

And so we move to Priv to enjoy those little blessings.

But 312 will always hold a special place in our hearts

For between those four walls is where we became best friends.

Best friends for life.
